Tradition Mexican Train

All Aboard!

September Stop for Mexican Train

On Wednesday, September 5th, the Mexican Train once again stopped at the
Tradition Residents’ Club House.

The Tradition Community has a Mexican Train Domino Group that meets once a month on the first Wednesday at the Pool Club House.  Currently, we have 23 couples who are eligible to be “on board”—that is to say who can play with the group. But due to space constraints, only 18 couples can play on any evening.

All trains have conductors and Tradition’s Mexican Train is no exception.  We have one Master Conductor, Bonnie Eaglin, who takes reservations while the other conductors are Mary Grace Robic, Pat Bowen, Merry Cotton, Grace Davis, Joan Murren and Pat Shriver.

The Mexican Train “departs” at 7:00 p.m. and the “passengers” play ten games or until 10:00.  After five games, players “change trains” or rotate to a different table.  Since we “travel first class”, two prizes are awarded—to the person with the lowest score, who is the winner—and, of course to the highest score, “the caboose award” which goes to the loser.

In order to get on the “reservations list” as a substitute for a round of Mexican Train, contact one of the conductors who will teach you to play and then your name will be added to the list.  Welcome Aboard!!
